Bending in blasts
Judy Keung - Hong Kong
I lie on a lazy boulder
the sea breathes beside me
our heartbeats synchronize
Above us the sky scowls
her face a sulky black
wrinkled in glaring grey
Blasts slash leaves, grass
petrified by vicious stabs
knife-sharp blades
A frail-looking yellow flower
amidst the howling stands
windward she gently bends
