Volunteer Defence Corps in the Battle for Hong Kong in
December 1941. When first published in 1953, the text
was the first general account of the Battle for Hong
Kong, and it has since served as a source for other
books on the conflict. It is particularly significant as
it was written by a Company Commander who took part in
the fighting.
