Homeward waves
Judy Keung - Hong Kong
i embrace the ocean
the ocean embraces me
her breath my heartbeat
i soar like an eagle
searching for a path
in the mist-veiled valleys
A thousand fragments
soar and sink
foamy-white firecrackers
swish and swosh
startling the stillness
slashing at the seething shore
Like a staggering boat
my rudder is tossed
in a storm-struck ocean
the anchor my faith
fingering
for homeward waves
The poem was first penned at Shek O
